Exterior

The 2024 Ram 1500 is purpose-built, and the exterior does not sacrifice utility while also adding some rugged and even refined design elements. The exterior style greatly varies depending on which of the many trim levels you go with, however, they all radiate the functional and rugged nature that the Ram brand is known for. Starting off, the front of every 2024 Ram 1500 is a functional, wide-set grille, that features the Ram logo proudly in the center. A muscular hood, with purposeful body lines that continue across the entire truck, is rounded off at the rear with a purpose-built bed with a hitch and the Ram logo proudly displayed again in the center of the tailgate.  The exterior options and available packages are truly endless with the 2024 Ram 1500, which makes it incredibly easy to find one that is perfect for you, without sacrificing any of the functionality that the Ram 1500 is renowned for.

Trim Levels

• The Tradesman trim is a practical and budget-friendly option for buyers who value utility over luxury features. Despite the bare-bones nature of this truck, you will still receive best-in-class rear legroom, 14.9-inch brake rotors, and an 11,540-pound max towing capacity. Some additional small touches include a new LED trailer hitch light, a rear backup camera, remote keyless entry, and power locks and windows.
• The Big Horn trim adds some flair to the mix with a chrome grille surround, with chrome front and rear bumpers. You will also find some additional creature comforts on the inside such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, an available 7-inch digital cluster, and available dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
• The Laramie features heated and ventilated leather seats that are 10-way power-adjustable. On top of this, you get a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel. You also get some additional safety features like Advanced Brake Assist and Forward Collision Warning. Adding to the creature comforts are dual-zone automatic temperature control, memory driver seat and exterior mirrors, and adjustable pedals.

Interior

The 2024 Ram 1500 does not forgo creature comforts, despite being a purpose-built half-ton truck. Similar to the exterior, the interior varies vastly across the spread of trim levels. The 2024 Ram 1500 is the most luxurious Ram 1500 ever, with some truly groundbreaking features for a pickup truck. With an available dual-pane panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon speakers, and supple leather, the 2024 Ram 1500 is a prominent player in its segment. Storage is also something the Ram 1500 does not lose sight of, with a dual glovebox, foot storage compartment, and a glovebox deep enough for a 15-inch laptop.

The all-new Ram 1500 also features a multi-function tailgate. This allows the tailgate to lay down completely flat, and withstand 2000 pounds of pressure. The eTorque system is a mild hybrid system that adds both efficiency as well as an additional 130 pound-feet of torque, without sacrificing that pure V8 Hemi exhaust note that truck buyers have fallen in love with. This 5.7L Hemi can tow up to 12,750 pounds and delivers 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Next on the list is a 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine with eTorque technology that pumps out 305 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. This V6 engine also delivers a best-in-class hybrid payload of up to 2300 pounds and is able to tow up to 7,730 pounds. Last on the engine lineup list, but definitely not least, is the 6.2L Supercharged Hemi V8 that is exclusive to the TRX trim. This monster pumps out 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, the most powerful engine in its class. All trim levels are equipped with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission.

As far as mpg goes, you can expect to achieve a 22 mpg combined city/highway with the 3.6L V6 (2wd). 20 combined city/highway with the 5.7L V8 (2wd), and 12 mpg combined city/highway with the 6.2L Supercharged V8 (4wd).
