Performance

They will be starting off with 2 trims for the new hornet:

• GT: Standard with AWD and nine-speed automatic transmission, the Hornet GT flexes with a 2.0L Hurricane4 turbo engine capable of 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
• R/T: The 2023 Dodge Hornet R/T performance hybrid takes horsepower even further with a dose of electricity. This PHEV System boasts a top speed of 128 mph and reaches 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds.

• Frequency Damping Suspension
  • The KONI (FSD) Frequency Selective Damping Suspension uses a passive spring and bypass valve system to absorb shock, helping you keep your ride smooth when the road gets unpredictable.
• Available Dual-Stage Valve Suspension
  • Depending on your driving mode of choice, the Dual-Stage Valve Suspension stiffens to minimize body roll, maximizing cornering control in Sport Mode or softening for a more comfortable ride in Normal mode.
• Independent Macpherson Suspension
  • The Macpherson Fully-Independent Suspension is the sum of its parts. Its steering linkage works overtime to provide a wide range of steering angles—perfect for performance driving. The shock absorbers and lower control arms boast strength and stability, making for one smooth ride.
• Chapman Rear Suspension
  • The Chapman Rear Suspension uses its lower lateral link to determine wheel geometry—that adds up to the Hornet being able to corner harder, faster, and with more precision.

  • Brembo and their top-of-the-line four-piston fixed aluminum front calipers, bring the Hornet equipped with Track Pack to a full stop from 62 – 0 mph in just 138 feet. With its optimized steering control and stability on any terrain, Brembo brakes help dominate morning commutes and professional circuits. Experience Brembo’s higher caliber of calipers in anodized black or available red.

In the New Hornet they will have tons advance technology that will make your drive safe and easier:

• Parkview Rear Back-Up Camera and Rear Parking Sensors 
  • Reverse with ease when using the ParkView Rear Back-Up Camera and rear parking sensors. High-definition cameras and sophisticated sensors trigger dynamic guidelines on your vehicle’s Uconnect touchscreen when you shift into reverse. Drivers can see their wheel placement and vehicle trajectory to aid in parking maneuvers.
• Auto High Beam and Rain-Sensing Wipers
  • The Hornet is equipped with highly-intuitive systems. Rain-sensing wipers and Automatic High-beam Headlamps can help aid drivers in cases of a heavy downpour or proximal traffic automatically.

• Active Driving Assist
  • utilizes the vehicle’s radar and sensors to automatically maintain a set speed, and distance from other vehicles, and can help steer the vehicle on highways and main roads.
• Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Assist
  • Stay aware of the speed limit with available Traffic Sign Recognition. By using forward-facing cameras and navigation software, our high-tech systems work together to identify the legal speed limit on most roads that you travel on. Available Intelligent Speed Assist helps enable drivers to maintain a set speed using a programmed system. Scanners observe the road ahead for traffic sign markers, then adjust vehicle speed and following distance accordingly.
• Drowsy Driver Detection
  • By using visual and audible alerts, Drowsy Driver Detection will notify and suggest to the driver to take a break when they have driven a prolonged period of time, or if steering behavior signals fatigue.
