Guess what? The updated new Dodge sedan that's taking the auto world by storm is coming to a dealer near you. 2013 Dodge Dart is getting looked at by all the industry heavy hitters, including cbs news, who took the refreshed sedan for a test drive.
First, they started with dodge's entry level base dart se, at $15,595. This model includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder rated at 160 horsepower with manual transmission. you have to upgrade for the six-speed automatic transmission. Solid handling and a smooth drive with dart se, which is rated at 25 mpg in city driving, 36 mpg highway.
Second, is the $19,995 Dart limited. With that, you receive a more pumped up, yet fuel efficient engine, a 1.4-liter, 160-horsepower turbocharged powerplant. Estimated mpg with turbo is 27 mpg in city driving, 39 highway. Great numbers indeed!
"And this dart immediately showed its DNA from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta with precise handling through the curves and electric power steering with plenty of road feel," adds cbs news writer Jerry Edgerton. "With the smooth six-speed manual transmission, i was shifting happily. clearly this is the fun version of the dart."1
Inside, the two Dart models are very different:
Base SE variants include traditional speedometer and gauges, as well as small mid-dash display screen. Seating is cloth, but very comfortable.
The higher-end Dart comes with tech and comfort options. 2013 Dart limited has an 8.4-inch display navigation system with maps, back up camera and blind spot detection warning. There's also leather seating and sports steering wheel optional.
The 2013 Dodge Dart, built right
here in America (Belvidere, IL), is available for a test drive at Walser Chrysler Dodge Jeep
