Dodge Dart Finds its Home in Illinois

Like a child prodigy, the new 2013 Dodge Dart was born with high expectations and a lot of pressure to do extremely well. After the model burst on to the public scene in Detroit, it looks like the five-passenger sedan will have no problem stepping up to the plate. In fact, Walser Chrysler Dodge Jeep thinks the all-new, resurrected Dodge just might do more than meet expectations. We're thinking the Dart is well-suited to hit a consumer bulls-eye.

All puns aside, the Dodge Dart offers a mixture of fuel-economy, style and performance to auto buyers of any age. Whether you're a young professional seeking to purchase your first new Dodge model or a retired auto enthusiast with a good eye for value, the Dart is certain to deliver. In order for it do so however, the sedan will need a dedicated team of skilled employees to back it up. Enter: between 400 and 500 new workers.

The additional boost of labor will be injected into a Chrysler plant in Belvidere, Illinois where the 2013 Dodge Dart is already set to begin production. Comprised of both temporary and part-time workers, the new team will join the current 2,700 employees that work at the plant now. In celebration of the Dodge Dart sedan's projected success and to officially commence production, the entire plant will join in on a company-wide celebration in Belvidere.

In addition to resting on high expectations, the 2013 Dodge Dart also sits at the center of a new product wave. Its parent company plans to base not one, but three new models on the Dart including two off-road SUV variants. SUV with the underpinnings of a small sedan? Sounds like an odd mix at first. But we trust the automaker knows what it's doing.

As the 2013 Dodge Dart progresses into production, Walser Chrysler Dodge Jeep promises to keep those in the Minneapolis area up to date. If you have any questions regarding the Dart or its future, don't hesitate to stop by our dealership, located at 314 Mainstreet in Hopkins, MN 55343 and let us know.
