Chrysler and parent company Fiat want to take back the commercial van segment from their competition. It will bring a pair of Italian commercial vans, the Ducato and Doblo, to North America next year. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 produces 283 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, 260 pounds-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm - that's with a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine keeps the revving up kind high, but that's normal. Chrysler senior manager Ben Winter says that is on purpose. The sustained high revving helps smooth the transmission's next shift.
